Teresa told the police that her husband had fixed her a bubblebath, lit candles, and turned on a radio in the bathroom.
She says the radio normally was on a shelf across the bathroom from the tub but on this occasion, the defendant moved a bench to the side of the tub, placed the radio on the bench, and plugged it into an outlet in an adjoining room using an extension cored.
Mrs. Wolfe alleges that her husband was in the bathroom with her and she believes knocked the radio into the tub on purpose.
She told police she caught the radio before it hit the water and threw it out of the way.
Mrs. Wolfe told police her husband's reaction was not normal and she became suspicious.
She later looked on their home computer and found where her husband had been accessing websites that dealt with bathtub electrocution two days prior to the incident. A police search of the computer confirmed this.
She also learned that her husband had taken out a life insurance policy on her approximately 5 months before the incident.
The victim told police her husband also told her he had purchased a gun and was not going to jail over this sh*t.
William Wolfe has been charged with attempted murder. If convicted, he could receive up to 20 years in prison.
