Dateline: 03/20/04

By Corey Deitz, About.com

It’s happened again: Clear Channel Communications has invoked it’s recently announce “Zero Tolerance Policy on indecency and suspended two of its Atlanta talk show hosts at WKLS-FM (96 Rock).

The “Regular Guys”, Larry Wachs and Eric Von Haessler, were recording an interview with a porn star which was supposed to air at a later date.

Either due to an accident or a technical snafu, portions of the unedited conversation went live on-the-air even though the morning personalities thought the microphones were off.

Wachs and Von Haesller were interviewing Devinn Lane during a commercial segment. Devinn was in the process of describing various sexual acts - apparently meant to be edited or bleeped for playback - but which aired live and unedited, instead.

Both have been suspended until a full investigation can been conducted.
