Radio Deejays Are Always Making Airchecks

By Corey Deitz, About.com

Deejays make "airchecks" - recorded copies of a broadcast, either digitally or on magnetic tape. Cassettes are cheap and easy to use for this process. Generally speaking, it's good to "aircheck" yourself as often as possible because you never know when you'll capture that "great" show. Airchecks are copied and sent to prospective employers. Professional cassettes are purchased in bulk and are usually white with no label.
