97x in Tampa Bay is now App-driven. The Alternative-formatted rock station is the second radio station in the country to use this particular App which can be downloaded to smartphones. The good news for the station is it can save money by getting rid of the live radio hosts. The bad news for the listeners: you don't know what you got until it's gone. Is this a novelty that will soon wear thin or do people really want more apps and less people? I listened and found out a little more about this App. Sometimes things are not what they seem.
