When I first became interested in radio as a career I was under a couple of misconceptions. I thought everyone on-the-air had to have a fake name and I also thought you weren't really in radio until you had a jingle with people singing your fake name.

I was wrong on both counts - but one of the best days of my life was the day the new jingle package arrived from Dallas and one cut did sing my name. Trust me: you'd have a better day at work, too, if there was someone to sing your name every time you showed up. Read more.
