Soul 730 (KKDA-AM/Dallas) has been sold by its owner and as of yesterday, flipped to a Korean-oriented format. According to Rebecca Lopez at wfaa.com, there was a second loss to the community with this change. The Willis Johnson Good Morning Show ended on Tuesday, the "longest-running talk radio show in Dallas."
Johnson had been on-the-air for 36 years.
The Soul 730 website states:
"Soul 730 KKDA is no longer broadcasting on the radio.
The frequency has been sold to another company.
We thank you for listening and for all of your support.
The article by Lopez points out that some great radio personalities have come through the station over the years like Tom Joyner and Steve Harvey.
