If you're a fan of radio talk show host Doc Thompson, you'll find him in the Motor City. Thompson recently took on the afternoon slot from 3 - 6 p.m. on 1270 WXYT-AM.
Thompson replaces the syndicated Todd Schnitt, who now moves to early evenings on the station. Thompson is well known to listeners of WLW-AM/Cincinnati and WRVA/Richmond, two stations where he recently hosted shows. Doc Thompson has also filled in for Glenn Beck on his nationally syndicated program. (Right: Doc Thompson Publicity Photo)
"Detroit has history of great radio and I'm very excited to be part of it," said Thompson in a released statement. Talk Radio 1270 WXYT-AM is owned and operated by CBS Radio. You can listen online at the station's website.

Doc Thompson is an idiot. I can barely tolerate listening to him fill in for Glenn Beck. I am not a fan.
Doc Thompson, is the closest to being Libertarian. He’s the best local host that we have.
Obviously it’s a released statement. If it were unreleased we couldn’t read it.
