Free Teleprompter Software for Podcasts, Radio Shows, Recorded Projects

If you do a podcast, Internet radio show, or any type of recorded presentation you might benefit from this free software: TeleKast. It's an open source (free) teleprompter that runs on your computer. TeleKast is very simple. Just create (or copy and paste) scripts into the program.

The learning curve is low and the resulting teleprompter scroll is impressive. You can adjust the rate of scroll and text size in the preferences as well as the background and foreground color. By default, scripts roll white lettering over black.

You can't expect any support from the program's creator which informs you TeleKast is in the "alpha" stage of development. It appears no further work has been done on the software since 2007 but it ran fine on Windows Vista when I tested it.

If you're tired of trying to memorize or read off a hand-held script, this might be your answer. Download TeleKast from this web page.

And I need this because I’m too stupid to scroll in Word?

Or you could just use a much better free webbased Teleprompter system such as http://www.Prompter.tv …..
