Longtime D.C. radio personality, Donnie Simpson, did his last show on WPGC-FM Friday morning. ABC 7 in Washington reported: "It was a morning full of emotion from his fans, friends and family...The phone lines were also buzzing with calls from Toni Braxton, Blair Underwood and Tavis Smiley." (Screenshot: www.wpgc.com)

According to Sabrina S. at gather.com, "He is 55 years old now and the station says that his taste in music is the reason for the ratings to be down the toilet. The station is apparently looking for someone with more creativity that can attract a younger audience."

ABC 7 has a video report on Simpson's last show which you can view at this page at www.wjla.com.
