As Brett Michael Dykes put it at the Yahoo! News Blog: "Critics charge that Beck is guilty of misleading his audience by often advising them to purchase gold in advance of the potential collapse of the value of the dollar on the world currency market, without disclosing that he is in fact a 'paid spokesman' for Goldline."
In defense, The Business Insider said, "...there's nothing wrong with a commentator advising viewers, listeners, or readers to take positions that he is taking himself. In fact, you might wonder about the motivations of someone giving financial advice he wouldn't take himself."

They also fail to mention that Beck has said numerous times when talking about Goldline that he was a client of theirs BEFORE they were a client of his.
Besides you would think that most people can tell when a host turns into a commercial on air.
It also shows that people today are used to automated stations. Talk radio is more like radio of yesterday when hosts actually trust a product or service before they just endorse it for the money.

Glenn Beck is proof that if you pay someone $30 million per year, they will say and do anything to ensure they get paid that again next year. He’s as believeable as BP or bank execs, who earn even more, and then claim to have no idea what’s going on at the companies they run, when things go wrong. At least Beck’s rating are tanking-big time. He’s an analog guy trapped in a digital world.
I can almost guarantee you that most people attacking Beck…have not watched his show! Those attacking the Arizona law have not read it! It took me 15 minutes to read it and most of the pertinate info is on the 1st page….stupid,stupid, liberals!
