Being on-the-air over 40 years is no small achievement and that's the legacy of Dic Youngs, who died yesterday at age 68.
Youngs spent most of his career at KIOA-AM, Des Moines as a deejay, beginning in 1966 until September, 2007.
"Lucky" is how he described himself according to a story at chicagotribune.com.
But, it's not exactly over. Chicagotribune.com reports: "Last year, Youngs filed a lawsuit against KIOA's owners claiming the station dismissed him in violation of the Age Discrimination in Employment Act. The lawsuit is still pending."
