Conservative radio talk show host, Michael A. Smerconish, has been invited by President Obama to broadcast his nationally syndicated show from the White House this afternoon.

Smerconish, based in Philadelphia, is one of the few conservative radio talkers who openly endorsed Obama during his campaign.

The Washington Post writes: "Smerconish gained fame for his morning radio show, which airs on CBS RADIO's WPHT-AM, and launched his nationally-syndicated afternoon show on Feb. 2, 2009. It airs between noon and 3 p.m. Eastern on 50 radio stations across the country, including WOR-AM in New York, KFWB in Los Angeles and WHFS 1580 AM in Washington, D.C..."

Smerconish will become the first radio talk show to air from the White House. President Obama is expected to join him for a live 20 minute interview during the program.
