SIRIUS XM Unveils Satellite Radio App for iPhone, iTouch

By June 18, 2009

Follow me on:

As previously reported, SIRIUS XM Radio has announced the availability of a free iPhone application at the Apple App Store which will allow iPhone and iPod Touch users to receive SIRIUS XM's Satellite Radio channels through the company's expanded Internet content.

Users of iPhone and iPod Touch with an Internet subscription to SIRIUS or XM can access 120 channels.

According to a SIRIUS XM news release: "Some select programming, including MLB Play-by-Play, NFL Play-by-Play, SIRIUS NASCAR Radio, and Howard Stern, will not be available on the iPhone and iPod touch. Listeners will continue to be able to access that programming through the platforms they are currently offered on."

The new app also lets users purchase a song they hear, tag favorites for later purchase (from the iTunes Store), save favorite channels for easy access, enjoy a "Lookaround" function to see what's playing on other channels, and more.

The SIRIUS XM app is available for free from Apple’s App Store on iPhone and iPod touch or at www.itunes.com/appstore and www.siriusxm.com/app

Hey Cory

You can remove this link if you think its inappropriate. But I wanted to get in touch to let you know about our get in to radio podcasts, which follow on the back of your article about getting into radio.

Be nice to offer you a download code so you might maybe listen and review.
