The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation launched a letter writing campaign shortly after the comments were made during their show on May 28. According to radiodailynews.com, "At least ten national companies have withdrawn, cancelled, or decided not to renew their advertising contracts."
At the show's website, robarnieanddawn.com, Rob Williams made this post Sunday evening:
"WE HAVE FAILED YOU. AS A SHOW, AS PEOPLE, AS BROADCASTERS, WE HAVE SIMPLY FAILED ON ALMOST EVERY LEVEL...WE PRESENTED OUR OPINIONS ON A VERY SENSITIVE SUBJECT IN A HATEFUL, CHILDISH AND CRUDE FASHION..."
