"It seems that Mr. [George] Weber had this whole secret life that no one knew about," says defense attorney, Jeffrey Schwartz, as reported by Pablo Guzman for wcbstv.com.
A Friday court appearance by defendant, John Katehis, began to uncover what some will consider a sordid side of Weber who was found stabbed in his New York City apartment on March 22, 2009.
According to a statement submitted to the court, "Defendant stated killing George was an accident. Defendant went to George's apartment after responding to craigslist ad for smothering. He was supposed to get $60."
At the time of his death, Weber was working for the ABC News Radio network and previously had worked at WABC-AM.
