Sports-formatted WFAN/New York has lost one of its longtime personalities. According to a story by James Callan at bloomberg.com: "Chris Russo, co-host of the 'Mike and the Mad Dog' sports-radio program on WFAN in New York, left the show after almost 19 years."

Co-host, Mike Francesa, will continue to anchor the show by himself.

Reports indicate Francesa has various options including a jump to Sirius XM Radio for a multi-million dollar deal.

Francesa did the show solo Friday afternoon and during the first hour featured a call from Russo because "...Francesa wanted to give Russo the chance to say goodbye to fans," according to Neil Best at newsday.com.

You can listen online to WFAN Sports Radio 66 AM at www.wfan.com.
