Last.fm Now Available on Logitech Squeezebox Network Music Systems

Wednesday June 11, 2008
Last.fm is now available to U.S., U.K. and German users of Logitech Squeezebox network music systems. This means owners of this 802.11g wireless-driven hardware can now stream Last.fm throughout their home, free of charge. Last.fm is the first free music service offered through the Squeezebox system in Europe.

The new arrangement builds on the existing relationship between Last.fm and Logitech which brought Last.fm's scrobbling capability to the Logitech Squeezebox systems. ("Scrobbling" is what Last.fm calls it when you listen to a song and the name of it is sent to Last.fm and added to your music profile.)

Last.fm allows listeners to hear stations based on artist or genre while also enabling them to use Last.fm's personalized recommendation stations, which are built on users' listening habits.

The Logitech Squeezebox Duet network music system is available at $399.99. Compare Prices
The Logitech Squeezebox Classic network music player is $299.99. Compare Prices
The Logitech Transporter network music player is $1999.99. Compare Prices
