College Graduates Killed the Radio Star?

By , About.com Guide   June 10, 2008

Follow me on:

Radio listening by average Americans has shrunk by 14% over the last 10 years, as reported by Alex Mindlin in The New York Times.

Mindlin cites new info from Edison Media Research which also points out:

* Teens make up a good portion of that decline
* College grads are far less likely to listen to Radio than nongraduates.
* Listening ability is somewhat dictated by what you do for a living.

Trivia: Actually, do you know what really killed the Radio Star? Answer.
