SIRIUS Creates "Client 9 Radio"

Being in Radio, I understand promotion and the value of jumping on the topical bandwagon. That's why when I got a press release from SIRIUS Satellite Radio that it was creating "Client 9 Radio" I thought to myself, "Yeah...that's how you get some attention."

In Radio, there's nothing wrong with cashing in on an event - or better - a scandal. That's exactly what SIRIUS is doing with "Client 9 Radio".

In a press release, SIRIUS describes it as: "...a channel that will explore the breaking news, facts, fallout, psychology, and implications of the [Spitzer] scandal."

SIRIUS says Client 9 Radio will act as a forum for a "national conversation" on Eliot Spitzer's sexcapades.

Vinnie Politan, a former Court TV Radio host, will be live this weekend taking calls from listeners and offering legal advice and opinion.

Client 9 Radio will air beginning today (3/14) at 5:00 pm ET through midnight, March 17 on SIRIUS channel 126.
