XM Touts College Basketball, SIRIUS Offers Snow Sports
XM Satellite Radio will air the men's college basketball tournaments for the six major conferences starting March 12. XM carries the ACC, Big East, Big Ten, Big 12, Pac-10, and the SEC. This year marks the first time that XM has carried all six tournaments. A channel guide for tournament week is available online at www.xmradio.com/collegesports
XM starts its fourth year offering the Indy Racing League (IRL) with the GAINSCO Auto Insurance Indy 300, the first race of the IndyCar Series' 2008 season. The race will be heard on XM's IndyCar Series Racing channel (XM 145) on Saturday, March 29.
SIRIUS Goes "Downhill"
SIRIUS has become the satellite radio home to the U.S. Ski Team and U.S. Snowboarding. This month SIRIUS will broadcast from the Sprint U.S. Freestyle Championships in Park City, Utah. Next year it plans to broadcast from multiple events including Aspen Winternational Women’s Alpine World Cup in Aspen, Colorado, the Birds of Prey Men’s Alpine World Cup race week in Beaver Creek, Colorado, the Visa Freestyle International at Deer Valley Resort in Utah. At ubroadcast it's a Joke
ubroadcast.com has launched ubroadcast Comedy, in what the company says is the first in a series of content specific web sites now being developed. In a press release, ubroadcast.com said it had, "...designated channel 200 as its new "Comedy and More" channel, which...will feature Independent comedy broadcasters, as well as showcase professional scheduled broadcasts."
