Clear Channel Closes Deal on Sale of 57 Radio Stations
Friday February 15, 2008
It's 57 radio stations in 13 U.S. markets and they're all going to Gap Broadcasting also referred to as Gap West. Gap West President Skip Weller was quoted by bizjournals.com as saying, "It's about getting back to the business of radio and communities..." That can only be good for listeners of these radio operations.
Good luck to the employees at the sold stations. I've been caught up in several sales over the years and when they say things like, "We're buying people, not properties" - watch your back!
