XM Satellite Radio to Feature Midnight Trucking Network, Grand Ole Opry

The 38-year-old Midnight Trucking Radio Network has come to XM Satellite Radio. Hosted by Eric Harley and Gary McNamara, the program features news and entertainment for truckers. It will be heard from 1-6 a.m. ET seven days a week on XM’s Open Road channel (XM 171), beginning October 8.

XM will also be the new satellite radio home of the Grand Ole Opry beginning October 20th. Live Friday and Saturday night performances as well as the Tuesday Night Opry will air. Additionally, XM will offer classic and archival performances.

XM is the satellite provider for the NHL and it is expanding its coverage to provide every game for every NHL team. Games can be heard on XM channels 204-209 and channels 237-239.

Corey, congratulations on winning a Marconi. That’s something to tell your grandkids about some day. Be careful about picking on El Rushbo, though. Rush won a Marconi at the tender age of 22 for “Best Major Market Evening Talent” in 1973, working for KQV-AM in Pittsburgh. Limbaugh isn’t above making a mistake - heck, we all do on occasion. However, he richly deserves his due!
