From bostonherald.com: "WRKO radio host John DePetro was back behind the microphone yesterday after a two-day suspension, doling out apologies for his 'stupid' on-air gay slur to everyone but the target of his verbal attack. The talk jock had called Big Dig czar Matt Amorello a 'fag,' saying his wife wears 'the pants' in the family and that he was now letting his Massachusetts Turnpike Authority spokeswoman handle media questions. 'On Tuesday, the language that I used was offensive. It was stupid, there was no excuse for it and I apologize,' DePetro said..."

So the guy said something that is considered a “sluir” against gays. So what? When you make a comment that someone else disagrees with, that’s called freedom. We shouldn’t have to mute our speech because some off the wall group like homosexuals gets upset. They offend plenty of people and never apologize. Stop pampering these people. If they want to be in the public forum, tell them to toughen up.
John Di Pietro is a very ignorant and bigoted man. He does not hase the right to defame people,just because they are different. Let us all remember that the radio airways belong to the public. I think Di Pietro should be banned from the radio industry.
